đ§°7 Platforms to get Copyright-Free Music for Your Content
You donât have to worry about copyright strikes anymore.
Adding background music to your live streams or videos is one of the best things you can do for your content, because when used correctly, it can help make specific moments of your streams more memorable and your videos more entertaining.
Some streamers like to use popular songs; however, I donât recommend doing that because doing this puts your channel at risk of getting a copyright strike from record labels.
And after getting a certain number of strikes in total, your YouTube and Twitch channels will be deleted.
For that reason, I searched for a few copyright-free options and found a few interesting ones that I want to share.
1. StreamBeats by Harris Heller

First on the list, we have an option that is so popular that it would be a crime if I didnât mention it. Of course, Iâm talking about StreamBeats by Harris Heller.
Unless you have been living under a rock, you probably already know about Harris, but in case you donât, he is a fellow content creator and streamer who has produced entire albums that other creators can use for free on their Twitch and YouTube channels.
With StreamBeats, you will find albums of ambient music, lo-fi, rock, hip-hop, dubstep, and more. Harris is also constantly adding new songs, so you wonât run out of music to use.
At the moment Iâm recording this video, the StreamBeats website is being updated, but you can still download his tracks.
You can check it out here:

2. comfi beats by LilyPichu

Second, in this list, we have comfi beats by LilyPichu.
Lily is not just a gamer, she is also a well-known content creator who has made songs and beats that anyone can use in their content.
These are soft tracks perfect for emotional scenes or as background music for a Just Chatting stream.
Regarding how you can use the songs, as far as I know, it isnât currently possible to download the songs. Instead, you can only stream them through the Comfi Beats YouTube channel or the Lilypichu Spotify playlist.
3. Chillhop Music

Next, we have what is probably the largest collection of lo-fi beats in the entire list.
We are talking about Chillhop Music
Chillhop is one of the most popular options for creators looking for relaxing beats for their videos and streams.
You can check their YouTube channel and Spotify to listen to their music.
However, to use their beats on your content you will have to create an account on their website and then connect your own Spotify account to your profile.
When you do all that, you can create a playlist of your favorite songs and download them to use later.
You can see their website here:

4. GameChops

Ok, brother Angelo, I get it, these services are very cool but what if I am playing a specific game and I want music that will not feel out of place?
In that case, GameChops will be your best friend.
With GameChops, you will find several albums of professionally remixed tracks inspired by popular games.
For example, you can find songs inspired by Mario Bros, Sonic the Hedgehog, or The Legend of Zelda and have them in the background as you are playing, letâs say, Paper Mario, Sonic Frontiers, or Ocarina of Time.
That sounds really good, doesnât it?
This way your background music will not distract your viewers and wonât feel as if it doesnât belong on your content.
You can check their website here:

5. OWN3D

Next on the list is OWN3D.
You probably already know OWN3D as the marketplace for streamers to get overlays and alerts for their live streams.
Well, it turns out they also have a few playlists you can use thanks to their integration with EpidemicSound.
However, the music can only be streamed for 30 minutes a day and from the OWN3D Pro website only. There is currently no way to add Epidemic to your streaming application directly.
You will also need to create a free OWN3D Pro account to access the music.
Yes, despite it saying âPROâ you can make a free account. The paid plan is for additional features and resources.
After creating an account, youâll see an option to use their playlists.
This could be a good option if you want music for short-form content, but not so much for livestreams unless you upgrade your plan.
You can see their website here:
6. Slip.stream

Next is Slip.stream.
I actually had to dig a bit to find this option, and it became my favorite.
Mostly because I realized that one of my favorite artists publishes his songs here, and that means that now I can use them in my videos and livestreams.
However, to use their music, you will have to create an account on their platform and connect your YouTube and Twitch account to your profile.
Please note that you can only connect one YouTube and Twitch account. If you want to connect more, you have to join their paid plan.
In regard to what you can find, they have all kinds of music and sound effects you can download. They also have a Top Charts page, so you know which of their songs are currently trending.
You can check their music here:

7. NoCopyrightSounds

For the last option in the list, we have the OG of free music with copyright protection â NoCopyrightSounds.
NCS has a bunch of playlists of almost every genre you can think of and you can use them for absolutely free.
However, you will have to create an account on their website first. Then you have to add the link to your YT, Twitch, or IG account so they can remove any claims you might get.
Once you do, you can download the songs and add them to your videos or streams and remain protected.
They have many bangers, so definitely check them out.

Conclusion
These seven platforms are reliable providers of royalty-free and copyright-free music for creators like you to find the best tunes to set up the ambience/mood for your streams or videos.
There are more providers and independent musicians than on this list, and I'll make another list at some point.
For now, give them a try and see which ones have the best music for the type of content you want to create. Since they are free, you won't lose anything by testing them.
